Contact translates Robert Pous' research on human morphology into a cast bronze sculpture built from a single continuous line. Two figures stand side by side on a shared base: one upright and still, the other leaning forward with an outstretched arm, its open hand reaching towards something beyond the piece.

Drawn in space rather than modelled in volume, the silhouettes are defined as much by the emptiness they enclose as by the metal itself. The bronze keeps an irregular, hand-worked texture, with warm golden and green patina tones along the line. As light moves around the piece, the figures cast shadows that extend the gesture onto the surrounding surfaces, turning the reach for contact into a second drawing.

Between drawing and sculpture, presence and absence, Contact explores the moment just before connection: the distance that separates two bodies and the impulse to close it. Its intimate scale makes it a quiet statement piece, positioning it between contemporary sculpture, figurative art and collectible design.
